During 2009, Dr Queiroz and his dental team participated in different celebrations to promote good oral health

As a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Queiroz and the Lawrence Park Dental Team have decided to help "Santa" this Christmas and collect some toys to kids that are less fortunate, supporting the "CP24/CHUM FM Christmas Wish 2009".

Lawrence Park dental has been collecting toys since middle October and will continue to do so until late December. A booth was set-up at the York Mills Centre to promote the toy drive and mentioned it to the clients as well. To date, everyone has been most receptive and the collections have been generous.

In April, Dr Queiroz participated in the "Oral Health Month" celebration, volunteering in the Brush-a-mania event, organizing two assemblies at Owen Public School to accommodate over 500 participants.

Brush-a-mania is an event targeted at children aged 4 to 12, which emphasizes the importance of education and motivation of good oral health habits.

Also, to celebrate the spirit of "Oral Health Month", Lawrence Park Dental set up a display at The York Mills Centre, and provided toothbrushes, dental floss and informative pamphlets. It was a great opportunity to approach people and remind them that "oral health is part of their overall health" and how important it is to visit the dentist on a regular basis.

Lawrence Park Dental is actively involved in our community by giving a helping hand to ones in need and by participating in programs to promote good oral health to all.
