Oral Health Care Station at the York Mills Centre |

National Oral Health Month, also known as Dental Health Month, originated as part of the dental profession's commitment to promote oral health to Canadians.
As a member of the Canadian Dental Association and the Ontario Dental Association, Dr. Queiroz and the Lawrence Park Dental Team celebrated Oral Health Month by promoting an "Oral Health Care Station" at the York Mills Centre on April 22nd and April 29th, 2009.
Statistics show approximately 90% of adults have gum disease of various levels and 50% of these individuals will lose, at least, one tooth prematurely.
We provided free toothbrushes, floss and informative pamphlets to people from the building and made ourselves available to answer questions pertaining to dental procedures and oral health concerns.
" This also gave us the opportunity to approach people and remind them that oral health is part of their overall health and how important it is to visit the dentist on a regular basis" - says Dr. Queiroz
